A Web of Lies, Betrayal, and Dangerous Books – The Secrets of the Graphic Quarter
Leipzig, 1930: Amidst turbulent times, four young men gather in an antiquarian bookstore in the Graphic Quarter. All are sons from good families, all bored with life. Instead of pursuing their studies, Felix, Vadim, Julius, and Eddie form the »Club Casaubon.« Driven by their passion for literature and a thirst for adventure, they become book thieves, specializing in valuable, occult volumes. However, when Eddie’s enigmatic sister Eva joins the club, they are drawn deeper into the schemes of ruthless forces.
Fifteen years later: After the war, Felix works as a librarian for the Americans, cataloging millions of stolen books. His mission leads him back to the destroyed Leipzig. The friends from the past are missing – or unrecognizable. And is Eva truly dead? As the city is under the pressure of the impending Soviet occupation, Felix finds himself caught in a web of betrayal and deadly secrets originating from the darkest corners of his past.
