Iny Lorentz is the queen of historical novels

A strong woman, intrigue, a love story, and plenty of erotic passion

Marie is a virtuous daughter from a good family in Constance. When a young count courts her, her father is thrilled. But an evil scheme destroys all hopes and Marie’s future. In order to survive, she must sell her body. But Marie does not give up... Constance, 1410: when Count Rupert asks for the hand in marriage of Marie, a beautiful daughter from a good house, her father can hardly believe his luck. He has no idea that her noble admirer is only interested in the fortune of his future wife, and will stop at nothing, not even crime, in order to get it. Marie and her father become the victims of a mean intrigue that drives the girl into the city. For Marie there are only two options: to commit suicide or to eke out an existence as a travelling harlot from now on. With help from Hiltrud, an experienced prostitute, she chooses life and soon becomes a desired “pretty thing”. However, Marie does not lose sight of her most important goal: she wants to take revenge on those who have plunged her into misery.
